　　Task2：The increasing use of technology in the workplace has made it easier for young people to get jobs and harder for old people. To what extent do you agree or disagree？

　　Technology has been increasingly used in the workplace, which has led to the belief that young people will be more employable than their older counterparts. Personally, I partly agree with this opinion.

　　On the one hand, there are many companies that require the employees to skilfully master modern technologies so as to accomplish job tasks more effectively and efficiently. In this case, the chance for employment will be considerably higher for those young people who are capable of and enthusiastic about learning the use of new technologies. In contrast, older job seekers are either unwilling or unable to adapt themselves to a technology-based working environment. This explains why in most tech companies, such as Facebook and Google,young employees constitute a larger proportion of the staff.

　　On the other hand, despite the increasing use of technology in workplaces, many traditional jobs still favour older applicants.These companies need employees with rich work and life experience to fulfill their job duties in the best way. For example, although the technological equipment and devices of banks have been upgrading, they are still in need of employees in their forties and even fifties to build lasting client relationships and navigate investment projects. Thus, when applying for jobs in many companies, organizations and schools, old people are in an advantageous position than their younger counterparts lacking work experience and expertise.
