父母带孩子一起出国工作。Positive or negative？
The opportunity to work abroad does not arise very often, but it causes a dilemma for parents with young children to look after. In my opinion, the whole family going abroad together is beneficial to the children, while the parents may have a difficult time.
There are two major benefits for children's development if they are with their parents who work in a foreign country. Firstly, it is not surprising that their fluency in multiple languages can be significantly improved, which is an increasingly valuable skill in the modern world due to the ever-growing effects of globalization. In addition, these children could grow more open minded, as they are exposed to totally different ways of thinking when going home from school on a daily basis. Such exposure contributes to their being better at creative thinking and problem solving.
There is, however, considerable pressure for parents who take their children along when working abroad. Firstly, without the help from other family members, these parents are the only one to handle any emergency of their children, such as getting injured or becoming involved with crimes. As a result, they may find it difficult to live a balanced life. Another challenge facing the parents coming from developing countries is about money. More specifically, the cost of their children living and studying in a foreign country may be much higher than that at home.
To summarize, I believe that there will be positive impacts on children but negative effects on parents when the whole family lives and works in a foreign country.
