The pie charts illustrate the different modes of travel to and fro university for staff and students in the periods 2004 and 2009.
范文：
What stands out from the charts are the differences between the popularity of transport between the two periods from driving to taking the bus.
Initially, around half of the students and staff drove but this value almost halved by 2009 which may have been caused by the car parking fees introduced in 2006. Equally noticeable is the percentage of bus takers in 2004 which stood at just over a quarter, later doubled to approximately 48% which may have resulted from a new bus stop built on the campus in 2008.
The remaining forms of transport had less significant changes in usage. A modest amount of cyclists grew by only 1% from 15%, continuing as the third most common form of travel. Similar minor increases were also observed in train travel and walking where a 1-2% rise occurred in 2009 to the lowest proportions of 4% and 6% respectively.
