1. bread and butter 主要收入来源
e.g. Teaching is my bread and butter. I don't have any other source of income.
2. as cool as a cucumber 非常冷静，泰然自若
e.g. I went skydiving（高空跳伞） in Fiji two years ago. While I was screaming while free falling（自由落体）， my instructor was as cool as a cucumber.
3. bring home the bacon 养家糊口
e.g. My wife is a stay-at-home wife. I'm the one who brings home the bacon.
4. have a bun in the oven 怀孕了
e.g. Alice has a bun in the oven. She is five months along.
5. big cheese 大人物
e.g. I thought I was going to interview a big cheese, but it turned out that he was a nobody.
