今天学为贵的小鱼儿老师和大家分享的雅思写作干货主题是:英美国对待枪支的不同态度,针对这个话题你知道该如何撰写么?这就看看老师整理的素材吧。

How is it different to the UK?

The rules are very different in the UK. In fact, the UK has some of the strictest gun laws(严格的枪支管理法in the world.

In order to own a gun in the UK, a person needs to have a special certificate(特殊证明书), called a licence, which is issued by thepolice.

You need one of these to buy ammunition(弹药) too.

Certain guns are completely against the lawbe against the law违法), and you could not buy or own them unless(除非,条件状语从句) you had special permission from the government.

The rules for gun ownership = gun lawsin the UK are much stricter than they are in the US.

The main difference between the rules in the US and in the UK is that(注意该句式 the main difference between A and B is that… 用于表达区别)  people in the UK do not have a fundamental right to have a gun. (英国人拥有枪支不属于基本权利)

A person has to have a very good reason to have one - and the police have to agree with it.

There are also much stricter checks (更严厉的检查比如stricter background checks so that dangerous people would not be able to get their hands on weaponsdone before a person is allowed to have a gun, which aims to (旨在)make sure that individual is not dangerous.

Many believe that strict rules like this are why (= are the reason why ) mass shootings(大规模枪击), like the one in Las Vegas, are extremely rare(罕见的in the UK.
