动物实验的地道表达：
Proponents of animal testing say that it has enabled the development of many life-saving treatments (拯救生命的治疗方法)for both humans and animals, that there is no alternative method for researching a complete living organism, and that strict regulations（严厉的制度） prevent the mistreatment of animals in laboratories.
Opponents of animal testing say that it is cruel and inhumane（残忍，不人道的）to experiment (这里是动词用法，联想“做实验”：carry out/conduct experimentation） on animals, that alternative methods available to researchers can replace animal testing, and that animals are so different from human beings that research on animals often yields irrelevant results(产生不相关的结果).
