1.I'd like to talk about Starry Night which perhaps is Van Goah’s greatest masterpiece.I saw it once when I was in new York city.Though not much in art and had no idea how to interpret it,I was fascinated by it.
2.I saw it in the museum of modern art in NewYork city,when I was a college student there.I can’t remember why I would have that trip.You know,it happened so long ago.Anyway,I was in the museum,appreciating those fine collections.I saw lots of things,fine paintings,sulptures,something I had no idea what they are.Then it caught my attention.
3.It’s a beautiful painting.In the work,Van Goah paints a small village amidst dark wilderness.Some buildings manage to emit just enough light to be noticed.Others,including the church are dark and unwelcoming.The moon and stars light the sky.But most place still remain dark.
4.later,I read something about it.Some analysts gave theirinterpretations on this painting.Well,those articles are worth reading.But frankly speaking,I had no idea about what Van Goah was thinking while painting it.he probably thought nothing.It’s just a beautiful painting.There’s no way I could really figure out his personal feeling.Anyway,it looks good.
