雅思词汇“极端”的几个搭配和范例

1、go to great lengths 不顾一切，不遗余力

Athletes are very driven individuals, who would go to great lengths to achieve their goals.

2、at one extreme;at the other 一个极端，另一个极端

At one extreme, users of public transport sometimes complain about the faint and tinny sounds emanating (发散) from the headphones or earbuds of somebody; at the other, the sound of very loud music such as a jet engine at close quarters (very near) can cause irreversible hearing damage.

3、balance these two extreme 平衡两个极端

If the game is too hard you might become frustrated and give up. If a game is too easy you might finish it too quickly and find it boring. Games need to balance these two extremes.

4、take it to the extreme 走极端

Even with fancy running shoes, equipment, and all sorts of dietary supplements, we are still celebrating human achievement, which will not happen once we take it to the extreme of allowing drug use.
