　　I'm going to talk about the time when I tightened my belt to save money for a trip to Tasmania which is an island in Australia. In fact, it's not in mainland Australia, but to the south of it. I've heard some people say that it's the closest place to Antarctica. I'm not sure if it's true, but it sounds super cool. I'd longed to go on vacation to Tasmania for ages, perhaps since I was 12 when I watched a documentary about this incredibly beautiful place. I would need to spend a lot of money on this trip there, so I had to scrimp and save for some time. 

　　In order to save the money, I just tried to cut down on my daily expenses. For example, I didn't eat out for two months. That was a tough period for me coz I had practically eaten out every day. You know, I'm not a good cook myself, but so as to save up for the trip, I had no choice but to cook on a daily basis. ?Plus, I decided not to take the cab at all. Instead, no matter where I wanted to go, I would take the bus. 

　　Um, as for how long it took me to save enough money … well, it was approximately four months, which means I had to live a miserable life for four months … But, when I finally had saved enough money to go on this trip to Tasmania, I felt that everything I had done was totally worth it. I was on cloud nine when I booked my plane tickets and hotel rooms. I went to Tasmania two months later and it was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience touring around the island. If I could go there again, I absolutely would.
