　　I’m going to talk about the time when I got my first cellphone. It was 6 years ago, when I was 18 years old. I had just graduated from high school and gotten admitted to a top-notch university in China. In order to celebrate it, my parents threw a party for me and invited many of our relatives over. At the party, I got tons of gifts from my relatives and I was overjoyed about it. Out of all the presents I got, my favorite was a cellphone, my first ever cellphone.

　　That cellphone was given to me by my uncle, my mom’s brother. My uncle and I had always been very close. In fact, when I was a kid, whenever my parents were busy and couldn’t take care of me, I would just go to my uncle’s place to hang out with him. Before that party, my uncle knew that I had longed to have a cellphone for years, so it was he who gave this gift to me that day. I was super happy.

　　What the phone was like … well, it was a smartphone of course, a Chinese brand actually called VIVO. It was pretty similar to other smartphones in that I could use it to play games, listen to music, take photos and so on. My favorite feature of it was that fact that I could retouch all the photos. I mean, after taking a picture, I could make it look much better. That was awesome.

　　How I felt about the cellphone … well, like I said over and over again, I was over the moon that day when I got it …
