　　Task2：As major cities around the world has been continuously growing, so are their problems .What problems are young people living in cities are caused by continued growth? Give solutions to these problems.

　　With cities growing bigger and busier worldwide, people living in metropolises are faced with a variety of challenges. It seems that young adults are under considerably more pressure caused by continuously rising living costs and increasingly intense competition. I believe that some measures can be taken to help the youth mitigate these problems.

　　One main issue faced by urban residents is the extremely high cost of living of megacities, such as Tokyo and London. With a relatively low starting wage, young people settling down in those places are very likely to live in a much less satisfying condition. For example, even graduates of UCL or LSE can hardly pay for the rent of a flat located in the central district of east London and therefore they have to spend hours getting to and from work on a daily basis. Such a long commute time is always frustrating and leads to poor quality of life.

　　What is more, major cities of every country have been developing so rapidly that they have become magnets attracting countless talents and elites in ambitious pursuit of decent work. As a result, the competition in the job market is incredibly fierce for young people who seriously lack work experience and expertise. Their inability to beat other job applicants leads them to land jobs that neither interest them at all nor give them a bright career prospect.

　　There are two options for solving young people’s poor living and working conditions in large cities. Firstly, the government should support young citizens by providing them with housing subsidies so that their financial burden can be largely relieved and are able to spend more money improving their life quality.  Secondly, high schools and universities ought to incorporate more job-related subjects into their curriculum for final year students. In this way, graduates will be more able to deal with job interviews and consequently increase their employability. 

　　In conclusion, most young people are encountered with the problems of financial stress and insufficient competence, which make it very difficult for them to live a comfortable life in big cities. Governments and educational authorities should both take responsibility for combating the situations.
