　　Task2： Some people think that governments should do more to make their citizens eat a healthy diet. Others,however, believe that individuals must take responsibility for their own diet and health.  Discuss both these views andgive your own opinion.

　　People have been suggested to have a healthy balanced diet. In my opinion, the government and individuals should both take responsibility to achieve this goal because they will ultimately reap benefits from it.

　　On the one hand, there are two reasons why the government is responsible to make its citizens have healthy eating habits. One is that if vegetables and white meat are the main ingredients, then the government would be able to save large amounts of money spent on medical treatment of people enjoying junk food and therefore suffering from obesity and diabetes. As a result, there could be enough budget invested towards achieving other major improvements of people’s living standard, such as broader roads and more easy-to-reach local sports centres. What is more, by encouraging people to eat and drink healthily, the government is able to provide companies and organizations with a healthy and productive workforce, such as construction workers and police officers.

　　On the other hand, everyone should carefully decide what they eat and drink on a daily basis because it not only has direct impacts on their health conditions but also affects their job prospects. With regard to the former, those who are obsessed with deep fried food or sugary drinks are highly likely to be significantly overweight. Many life-threatening diseases accompany obesity, such as cardiovascular risks. Another disadvantage faced by people irresponsible for their diet choice is that they may be in an inferior position when it comes to getting an employment. For example, a girl seeking the opportunity to be a TV hostess may fail in the first round of interview simply because of her being out of shape.

　　It seems to me that both people and the government should try everything possible to create an energetic and productive society based on a healthy balanced diet.
