　　1. Computer technologies are more accessible and cheaper. As the result, more adults work at home and children study at home. Is this a positive or negative development?

　　2. Many people think cheap air travel should be encouraged because it gives ordinary people freedom to travel further. However, others think this leads to environmental problems, so air travel should be more expensive in order to discourage people from having it. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

　　9. We live in cities or towns which have museums displaying objects of artistic, historic and cultural value, but people do not visit them. Why do you think people do not visit museums in their local areas? What is the importance of museums to the society?

　　10. Children’s education is expensive. In some countries, the governments pay some of or all of the costs. Do the advantages outweigh its disadvantages?

　　11. It is important for all towns and cities to have large public outdoor places like squares and parks. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

　　17. Most people are using mobile phones and computers to communicate. Therefore, people are losing the ability to communicate with each other face to face. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

　　18. It is suggested that young adults should undertake a period of unpaid work helping people in the community. Does it bring more benefits or drawbacks to the community and young people?

　　19. In the past, people used to travel to see the difference from their home country. However, most places around the world seem similar nowadays. What are the causes of these similarities? Do you think that the advantages of this similarity outweigh the disadvantages?
